Im sorry, I'm re-reading the post trying to see it how you interpreted it. My point is that all these "dating" books just overthink the whole thing and take the fun and mystery out of meeting guys and going on dates. I always assumed if he didn't call back he was either a)dead or b)totally disliked me, which hurts so you prefer to think option a. The book just gives reasons why he didn't call you specifically, it doesn't teach you how to act like an asshole about it. I'm not sure how you misinterpreted it.
As for casual sex, the river runs both ways. I'm not one to turn down good sex just because I don't plan on marrying the guy. Guys have been doing for years so why not let us have the same opportunity? Peace out! Lisa

So amused, I found myself having to read this novel, well a novel on my phone. Lol. Joyously I see rantings of one who is endeared by fragrances in all they exemplify and are labeled as to the equal obsessive extent as I. Truly my collection is harped on as well, yet I'll never stop. You are quite correct in expressing the certainty of one scent during specific moments verses others and how scents do auspiciously aquire different noses on each unique skin. My experience could read just as yours but as the opposition, due to my skin, though some opinions I fully agree with! I most definitely have a "nose" and I lend advice as I can while also trying to define the importance and need of the real thing... Ahh... A great page. He looks good enough to be remembered. However, they are a lot of good-looking men in Hollywood. One has to have a very unique, characterizing feature in order to be remembered. It might take more than a couple of movies before this guy ends up etched in my memory.

I too loved the original Lauren; it had a top note that reminded me of mimosa (that's Southern mimosa, which is actually an albizia). Took me straight back to childhood summers. Alas, my skin ate it up and it was gone in thirty minutes.

I had to find something to replace Revlon's Intimate, which I'd worn all through my teens. They reformulated and ruined it, of course, or I might be wearing it still.

Had brief flirtations with L'air du Temps and White Linen, but they wouldn't stay with me. I loved them on my college roommate, however.

My sister still loves Magie Noir when I can find it on ebay.

But not for myself. I began wearing Marilyn Miglin's Pheromone (God, I hate the stupid name) thirty years ago -- not the perfume, the bath oil -- with an underlay of Aura Cacia patchouli. Evidently this is what God intended for me to smell like, because whenever I flirt with using another scent, I get widespread complaints (from my intimates) rather than the compliments I get once or twice a week about how good I smell. So, even though I love perfume passionately, shopping around is not for me.
